Tbh surf, I saw that as a load of bollocks. Designed to make people think we'd stump up that sort of cash and actually do something proper with the gaff - heard it all before from this lot and they rarely exceed my extraordinarily low expectations

I get that. But we are where we are.

Incidentally, it's quite clear from her answers to questions at that meeting that the club's plan is to buy the stadium but without any responsibility to maintain any athletics legacy.

Re: Her Ladyship

They're not intermingled because people didn't renew. They're intermingled because everyone had the opportunity to have a +1. As a result, people with no affiliation to West Ham UNited were granted the opportunity to get a season ticket months before people who had season tickets for 30 years.

The entire migration strategy was a disaster. A disaster of her making. She fucked it up completely.

Re: Her Ladyship
"You can object to her in general and about the terms of the original lease, but not really about her present dealing with the landlords"

And that is where we diverge - if people want to applaud her current dealings, fair enough. I'll continue to argue that she shouldn't have fucked it up in the first place.

So how would she have known the everyone coming from Upton Park with a season tickets was going to renew and come O/S many didn't .Or she should have just assumed the 30.000 people would renew and hold all the seats back for them to sit together. Its not a block group of 30,000 wanting all to sit in same place, its more than half capacity of the stadium. Maybe 500 groups of 60 people ? How could she or anyone accommodate that ?

The contract was a good deal it looks like their long term business plan was to get the Stadium for next to nothing and that is likely to happen

If you actually watched the full meeting everything that went was the last resort

Never get emotion mixed up with business mate

Re: Her Ladyship
Stewie,

I have to slightly disagree with you. Almost all those cases where the club has taken LLDC/E20/LS85 to court have been over issues of little financial benefit to the club and somewhat greater aesthetic value to the supporters.

You can object to her in general and about the terms of the original lease, but not really about her present dealing with the landlords. She has insisted they remove a second level of pitch-side LED advertising, install draught beer in the hospitality lounges, stop inserting their own advertising on the TVs the club has paid for Sky and BT to be on, install the West Ham look and feel branding (with particular regard to the pitch surround), and provide contractually agreed staff in hospitality and security.

She's also gone some way to exposing the lies about how 'West Ham are ripping off the tax-payer'

In this particular instance, you have to side with either West Ham or the landlords. I'm with West Ham.

Re: Her Ladyship
You don't have to be a genius to highlight how incompetent the LLDC are. Even a div like GAVVY could do it, I reckon.

At least we're getting slightly closer to owning the stadium, which would have been the plan all along.

Re: Her Ladyship
It's not propaganda, there are plenty of news reports that can be read without having to buy into her spin.

"she convinced most of you" - not me, so I'll thank you not to lump me in. Cheers.

stewie griffin 10:07 Fri Oct 19
Re: Her Ladyship
I don't read her propaganda, B son, so don't really keep abreast of all the various court cases - I do know that she's got some fucking neck taking people to court about not fulfilling promises though.

Still, seems she's managed to convince a bunch of people that she knows what she's doing. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, she convinced most of you that the Olympic Stadium was going to be a great football venue, have state of the art retractable seating like the TELSTRA DOME (at a cost of £1.5m as I recall), and various other things; so I suppose I'll give her that - she's very good at pulling the wool over people's eyes.

Re: Her Ladyship
sg

I agree with 99% of what you say about her, however, the reason why our landlords are 'pissed off', as you put it, is merely that the club are demanding that they stick to certain parts of the deal to which they agreed but have not fulfilled. hence why the club have won 5 out of the 6 cases that the landlords took to court.

stewie griffin 9:28 Fri Oct 19
Re: Her Ladyship
Unbelievable the number of comments about how she's such a great business woman.

Lets have it right, she had one job at this club, and she's completely fucked it up.
She's managed to alienate large sections of her customer base, has intermingled 30k fans who've been going years with 20k who haven't with disastrous consequences, the financials have barely improved despite having 20k extra bums on seats, and the whole experience is inferior. Were it not for loyalty built over generations that has precisely fuck all to do with karren fucking Brady, that entire picture would be even worse.
And no, she's not historically successful either. Sullivan and Gold (amazingly) are.

She's an absolute first rate cunt. And it's very easy to sound like you know what you're doing when you don't have responsibility for anything - that's why politicians not in office always do well in tv debates.
Perhaps, just perhaps, if she was actually any good at anything, she would have negotiated a proper deal in the first place so that none of this stuff was an issue. If it wasn't any good, she shouldn't have signed up to it. And if she was any good, she would have built a relationship with our landlord rather than pissing them off every two minutes to the point where every conversation ends up in court.

Astute. My fucking arse

Re: Her Ladyship
I thought she had a pretty soft ride.

It was clear that the committee had already realised that the big issue was not the low rent the club pay but the disproportionate costs claimed to run the stadium & it's services.

They were just looking for ammunition to go after E20, and, more significantly LS185 (or whoever it is poncing money out of the process).

I don't see us buying the stadium as on the immediate horizon (less than 5 years) but I would expect us to be offered the chance to take over more matchday operations and, most significantly, the naming rights negotiations.

VirginiaHam 9:26 Thu Oct 18
Re: Her Ladyship
Lady Big Tits played a blinder. Love the seating arrangement.

Game over when she confirmed UP's game costs were 51k, LS is 251k, and she doesn't understand how.

None of the other people had a clue about the figures. What? Government wankers going in to a meeting with her, with no preparation?

They got eaten alive.

She told the committee time and time again all she wants is whats best for fans, if there is a god he'd have sent lighting, tidal wave, earthquake and everything else for her lies.
